Kidz Classes

Kids 101

At Valencia Hills Community Church we offer a 101 class for children ages 7-12. Our 101 class is divided into two teaching sections, Salvation and Baptism. During our Salvation section our kids learn what it means to have a relationship with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. They also have the opportunity to make a commitment and ask Jesus into their heart as they begin their walk with Christ. During the Baptism portion of the class we teach the kids why we get baptized and how it is not a requirement for salvation rather an act of obedience and a symbol of our commitment.

Kids 201

During our 201 class our kids are given some of the tools they will need to help them GROW in their walk with the Lord. In this class we cover the following:

• Giving Back to God – We teach our kids that everything we have belongs to God. We point them to God’s word and show them what it means to tithe from what they have been given. 

• Reading God’s Word – We show our kids how to read the Bible and give them the tools they will need to look up verses and navigate their way through God’s Word.

• Offering our prayers to God – We walk the kids through 5 simple ways they can spend time with God and begin a daily quiet time.
  
  
• Watch the friends you choose – We talk with the kids about the importance of the types of people they choose to spend time with. We encourage them to be a light to others as we talk through real life examples of how they can be an encouragement to their friends.
  

Kids 301

In our 301 class our curriculum is designed to share with our kids how God has designed each of them with a specific purpose in life. We talk about how God has created each of us differently, with a variety of strengths and weaknesses. We have each of them work towards beginning to discover how God has created them and how they can use what they have been given to glorify our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Curriculum is currently being developed for our 401 class.
